Well this little girl started me off in the wonderful world of standardbreds, she has been my best friend for the past 15 yrs she came to me as a 3 yr old who love to run at home but just couldn't produce the times on the race track where it actually counted. Elle as she was called by her trainer after the model Elle McPherson, you could tell he held a soft spot for this little girl when the owner said dog her he just couldn't do it and that hows she started her life with me.

Ellie as she is now known is a 18 yr old 15.3hh Black Brown Mare by Guida USA out of I'm No Fella, her breeding doesn't say too much for her although her sire was a pretty good broodmare sire in his day.

It hasn't always been smooth sailing with my now lovely girl, she was quite a handful for the first couple of years with rearing and bucking being one of her favourite pastimes lol, although she has spirit as I liked to call it back then she was always an angel on the ground, I think back now and go I must have been insane lol probabley was I was only 9 yrs old when I got her and I was invinciable back then.

Ellie has won many many ribbons and trophies, my most memorable moment was when she won her first pre-novice event on her first pre-novice start out of 22 horses and riders she finished on her dressage score, it was quite funny when we got out trophie, sash and rug with our photo being taken with the judges, they were all what breed is she I was like standardbred the judge couldn't believe it and had to check the brand a couple of times lol.

She is now semi-retired as a paddock companion/trial riding horse for a close friend of mine and still gets out to the occassional show every now again, she has been probabley the best horse I have owned and can't thank her enough for what she has taught me.
