Sinatra Castle
Bay gelding 2004
Village Jasper - Yeronga Songbird (Classic Garry)
3 starts, 0 placings, $0.

Frank was trained by my husband. He came to us as to be educated as a juvenile, as a risky racing proposition because he was born with two offset knees, one of which is quite severe. He is impeccably bred and would have gone through the yearling sales if not for his conformation issues. Fortunately for me, his owner decided to give him a shot at a racing career because of his breeding. He showed some potential but inevitably went sore and was retired as an early 3YO after just three starts. Frank always had a brilliant disposition and unflappable nature, even as a green 2YO. Hubby had quite a soft spot for him and I was keen to learn to ride so we ended up together - him being broken to saddle and me learning the ropes together. Frank was nothing short of spectacular and adapted like he had been doing it all his life. I had plans to compete with and show him, but sadly once we started doing more trot work his legs couldn't stand up to the stress and I accepted vet advice to retire him. He is now a lovely paddock ornament (at just four years of age) who goes out for the occasional trail ride and gets dragged into the arena when I'm having a "rider" lesson and need a bombproof mount. He is absolutely the love of my life and gave me the most amazing introduction to riding. I'll be forever indebted to him and will ensure he never goes without.

What a lucky boy to find such ownerful owners, there is nothing wrong with having a grass eater and he can be ridden a little, even better
