Hi,

Thought I'd tell you about my incredible boy, Jack. His racing name was Panky's Pacer and he was really really famous in New Zealand for many years. Won about $147000, and if you google his racing name a whole heap of news articles come up that mention him. He even won the Wellington Cup!

Unfortunately though he battled a lot of health/soundness issues whilst racing, so they eventually sent him over to Victoria, but he didnt do too well so was left out in a paddock (to starve!). His original racing owners in NZ really loved him and did the best they could for him (I received a lovely letter from one of them) but in the end they couldnt get him winning consistantly. His Vic owner was not so nice.

But he was rescued, rehabed and sold to me five years ago, and is now my best mate. He isnt ridden much at the moment, but I hope to start working with him soon over winter. He has battled headshaking syndrome, which flares up over summer, and whilst I havent ridden him much, he has taught me so much about horses, horsemanship, ground work, patience, empathy, perseverance and I am in total awe of him. He is a real spunky little horse with attitude, and thinks he is king of the paddock! He also looks totally stunning, a very sporty/athletic sort of standie.

Dont have photos on me, but will post some soon! The transformation he has gone through over the past few years is incredible.
