A fairly quiet morning at Marburg..I am sure not too quiet about 5.00pm when their christmas party got into full swing..
Not much to report....quite a few well established race horses turned up for a hit out..

Marburg Christmas Party was a blast!!

The Marburg Christmas Party was attended by many harness racing party revelers
Thank you to the harness racing party revelers from MPA President Russell Lehmann on your Marburg attendance and the association congratulates the connections of the Marburg Horse Of The Year Tobazzco, beating Dreams End and Maurice George.

A stirring phantom race call by stand-in caller Shane Sanderson was a true indication of what a good trainer he is and should stay.

About 100 people enjoyed the meals and cheap drinks and a free give-away raffle was conducted, with Christmas presents given to our MPA Cadillac Café ladies.

Just a note for the last 2 Sunday trial days at Marburg:

December 21 – Normal 8am start, Sunday trials and organised education

December 28 – No organised trials or education periods with Cadillac Café closed for business until the following Sunday in the New Year, with an 8am start.

President Russell Lehmann wishes all harness racing people a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year, plus many winners at good odds.

MPA has the 2009 Marburg Country Cups Carnival on March 15 2009, and we invite all ID09 visitors to a day in the country on a Sunday for Cups harness racing Marburg country style.
