Well this little girl started me off in the wonderful world of standardbreds, she has been my best friend for the past 15 yrs she came to me as a 3 yr old who love to run at home but just couldn't produce the times on the race track where it actually counted. Elle as she was called by her trainer after the model Elle McPherson, you could tell he held a soft spot for this little girl when the owner said dog her he just couldn't do it and that hows she started her life with me.

Happy Interest was bred in the purple to trot he is closely related to Noopy Kiosk (his half brother) however it didn't turn out that way. He was kept entire to around age 7 and raced to that age but didn't have the ability, he ran in Victoria and South Australia with a dismal $17,000 in prize money, he cost $47k as a yearling.

Thought Id quickly give a little history on my boy Seeka. He was given to us as a racing horse a few years ago. He was one of those very important race horses you need, for without them, there would be nothing in the field to beat. He did place a second for us once, but sustained a leg injury shortly after. We turned him out and gave him to a girl that wanted a horse. Sadly it was only a companion horse for her old pony she rode so Seeka stood in the paddock for about two years. She then ...

I bought Mush Mush sight unseen in September 2008.... He was advertised as an unraced 3 year old (clever people should learn to read freezebands), and was in quite a bit of a mess by the time he got to me.... Very underweight, with terrible feeet (I was particularly worried about his offside hind, it didnt look right from day one - I'd later find out how bad it was) ..... Not that I cared, I was prepared to give this guy the attention he deserved.

After 2 weeks, Mush Mush (Huey's) whole ...

Dougie came to me after I'd had a long break from horses. He was being looked after by a lovely older couple who had every belief he was destined as a riding pony.

Dougie was a great racer over his short career with lots of potential but unfortunatley never even got a win due to being a bleeder. So he was retired ...

Hi,

Thought I'd tell you about my incredible boy, Jack. His racing name was Panky's Pacer and he was really really famous in New Zealand for many years. Won about $147000, and if you google his racing name a whole heap of news articles come up that mention him. He even won the Wellington Cup!

Unfortunately though he battled a lot of health/soundness issues whilst racing, so they eventually sent him over to Victoria, but he didnt do too well so was left out in a paddock (to starve!). ...

He'd only had a saddle thrown on him a few times before I got him, so I havn't ridden him yet, but we have been doing lots of groundwork, lateral flexion and lightening his responses. When I first got him he was very exciteable and nervous, but he has settled down really well and we have even overcome his nose-shyness:) The other day I introduced my mounting block ...
